Note

On 3 October 1951, Jan Idzenga arrived with his parents Jan & Geertje in Hamilton Ontario from Amsterdam Holland. He worked as a tree surgeon for Ontario Hydro then moved to St.Catharines to work in the Niagara Peninsula. There he met Margaret McCallum (a nurse) newly arrived from Scotland. They married in Knox Presbyterian Church in St.Catharines 7 July 1956.
